National Security

Who better knows what the military needs than veterans.  The American Legion briefs congress as to those needs that we see.  We have a legislative office in Washington D.C.  We are briefed regularly by a variety of offices including the Pentagon.  We provide packages for our deployed troops.  We work with the troops and their families on both pre and post deployment to make sure that their needs are met.  Through our Operation Comfort Warrior, we take care of our wounded, injured or ill military personnel with comfort items that the government does provide.  We advocate for our POW/MIAs,.  We are committed  to achieving a full accounting. from the Gulf Wars to WWII.  This includes a POW/MIA Empty Chair at all meetings to remind us all of this vital endeavor.
